Worth knowing

What most people get wrong about GST

Assuming the threshold protects you

Inter-state supply of goods and most e-commerce selling require registration from the very first rupee, whatever your turnover.

Registering under the wrong scheme

Composition is cheaper to comply with but blocks input credit and restricts who you can sell to. It's a decision, not a default.

Claiming credit that isn't there

Input credit has to match what your suppliers actually filed. Claim it unreconciled and it gets reversed later, with interest.

Skipping nil returns

A period with no sales still needs a return. Late fees accrue per day, and continued default can get the GSTIN suspended.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Broadly ₹40 lakh for goods and ₹20 lakh for services, with lower limits in special category states. But several situations — inter-state supply of goods, most e-commerce selling — require registration regardless of turnover. We'll confirm what applies to your case before you spend anything.
Typically 3–7 working days once documents are complete and Aadhaar authentication is done. It takes longer if the officer raises a query or asks for physical verification of the premises — we handle both.
Our professional fee depends on your entity type and how complex the case is. Government charges, where applicable, are separate and shown to you clearly. You get the full figure in writing before we begin.
Yes. Once registered, returns are due every cycle whether or not you traded. A nil return is still a return, and skipping it attracts a per-day late fee.
It lowers your compliance burden and tax rate but you cannot claim input credit or pass it to your customers, which matters if you sell to businesses. We'll walk you through which one actually suits your customer base.
